The purpose of the Penn Engineering Graduate Scholarship is to recognize and support outstanding students enrolled in Penn Engineering’s master’s degree programs on the basis of academic and professional merit. Through this scholarship program, Penn Engineering aims to:
Applications for the Penn Engineering Graduate Scholarship are open to all U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents
Scholarship application is only available during the EARLY APPLICATION cycle, at the time of initial application for admission
This scholarship opportunity is available to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents.
Applicants will only be eligible at their time of initial application for admission — students are no longer eligible to apply for the scholarship after they have applied, been accepted or enrolled in a program.
Application Opens: December 15, 2025
Scholarship Application Due: March 2, 2026
Scholarship Decision Notification: April 10, 2026
The application for the Penn Engineering Graduate Scholarship application is embedded within the overall Penn Engineering Online master’s degree application.
PLEASE NOTE: The application for the Penn Engineering Graduate Scholarship is ONLY available during the Early Application cycle. If applicants wait to apply during the Regular Application cycle, the scholarship application will no longer be available.
To apply for the scholarship, please submit your completed admission application for Penn Engineering Online through our application portal. You will find the scholarship application located within the overall application for admission.The scholarship application is only available during the Early Application period, so please be mindful that any application not completed by the Early Application deadline will not be eligible for scholarship consideration.

Applicants must submit a Scholarship Statement (500–750 words) highlighting academic achievements, professional experiences, and professional goals. You may wish to address the following:
Academic Background: Key accomplishments that prepared you for graduate study.
Career Experience: Roles, projects, or experiences that shaped your skills.
Future Goals: Your short- and long-term plans, including how this program will help you achieve them and the contributions you hope to make.

For privacy reasons, scholarship recipients and amounts awarded will be kept confidential.
Scholarship applications will need to be completed by the Early Application Deadline. If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you will be able to apply for the scholarship at the time of application to your master’s degree program of interest. Any application that is incomplete after the early deadline will NOT be eligible for scholarship consideration. Please refer to our scholarship page for more information.
Students awarded the Penn Engineering Graduate Scholarship for a Penn Engineering Online degree may elect to attend on a full or part-time basis.
