Dean’s Master’s Scholarship for Penn Engineering Online Students

The purpose of the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship is to provide financial support to Penn Engineering Online Master’s students in order to further the University’s interest in attracting an academically talented and inclusive student body, who will be successful in advancing the school’s mission of scholarship, teaching, and research for the public good. Each scholarship applicant’s qualifications shall be considered individually. In addition, in awarding the scholarships, consideration shall be given to the applicant’s socioeconomic and educational background, and/or commitment to the school’s goal of an inclusive student body.

Eligibility

Students will be eligible to apply for a scholarship only at the time of application during the early application period. Scholarship consideration will begin with the Fall 2022 cohort, students who were admitted before this date will not be eligible.

This opportunity is available to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents.

Recipients of the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship will receive funding so long as they maintain a 2.7 cumulative GPA.

How to Apply

  • The application for the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship application is embedded within the MCIT Online and MSE-DS Online application.
  • Submit your completed application for Penn Engineering Online. Those interested in the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship will be required to apply for the Early Application period.
  • Any application that is incomplete at the deadline will not be eligible for scholarship consideration.

When can I apply for the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship?

Scholarship applications will need to be completed by the Early Application Deadline of the Penn Engineering Online degree program for which you are applying. Any application that is incomplete at the early deadline will not be eligible for scholarship consideration. Applications can only be submitted at the time of application to the program. Is full-time enrollment a requirement for the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship program?

Students awarded the Dean’s Master’s Scholarship for a Penn Engineering Online degree may elect to attend on a full or part-time basis.
